CINCINNATI, OHIO – JUNE 6, 2017 – The Worker Bee Division of Flamingo Air has announced a new drone repair service at its facility at Cincinnati’s historic Lunken Airport.
The Worker Bee Division will now not only fix drones, but also teach others to repair them with its new sUAS Drone Repair and Maintenance Course.
“The drone industry is poised to rival the development of the cellphone is terms of cultural impact,” states Flamingo Air’s president, Captain Dave MacDonald. “However, drone mechanics are few and far between. And mechanics qualified to repair drones are overwhelmed by demand as commercial usage of these devices takes off.”
Worker Bee’s five-day Drone Repair and Maintenance certification program includes basic and advanced theory, tools and troubleshooting, a drone maintenance lab and instruction on building a DJI drone from basic components.
“The repair field is hiring, and educational institutions are responding with programs geared to the technology,” adds Captain McDonald. “Flamingo Air’s Worker Bee Division continues to be on the cutting edge by offering this drone maintenance, operation and repair course. The demand is there, as is good pay.”
